Aconteceu algo bem diferente no torneo hoje, no mínimo interessante. Nigel Short, no seu jogo contra Ivan Cheparinov, ofereceu o tradicional aperto de mão e foi recusado 2 vezes. Resultado:
O árbitro deu a vitória para ele. Dá pra tu Ricardo? Aprende aí já que vais fazer o curso de arbitragem, hehehe.

Aconteceu no grupo B, hoje ele teve como oponente Cheparinov com as peças brancas. Short veio até o tabuleiro e com o oponente ausente jogou 1.e4 e saiu. Poucos minutos depois, Cheparinov chega e senta-se e jogou 1... c5. Quando Short chegou, e levantou a mão para o tradicional aperto, Cheparinov baixou a cabeça para o tabuleiro. Depois de um momento, Short senta-se, e espera Cheparinov levantar a cabeça. Quando ele faz isso, Short novamente estende a mão e Cheparinov recusa denovo.
Short então levanta-se e aproxima-se do árbitro e fala da atitude do seu oponente e das regras da FIDE que prescreve uma derrota imediata como penalidade por ter recusado o aperto de mão. O árbitro não estava certo dessa regra por ter sido anunciada recentemente. Depois de ter consultado o site da FIDE ele explicou a Cheparinov a situação e disse a Short que ele que Cheparinov iria apertar a mão dele finalmente. No entanto dado que ele já tinha se recusado duas vezes e a dignidade de Short tinha sido destruída, Short insistiu que a falta já tinha sido cometida e que Cheparinov deveria perder a partida. "Foi claramente um insulto calculado" disse Short. O árbitro foi forçado a concordar e o painel oficial do torneio mostrava o jogo

Behavioural norms of players in chess events

Having discussed several recent cases in different chess tournaments where the attitude of players toward their opponent or officials, journalists etc. was not acceptable under conventional social behaviour, the FIDE Presidential Board – at the suggestion of President Ilyumzhinov – decided on setting up strict rules regarding such behaviour.

Any player who does not shake hands with the opponent (or greets the opponent in a normal social manner in accordance with the conventional rules of their society) before the game starts in a FIDE tournament or during a FIDE match (and does not do it after being asked to do so by the arbiter) or deliberately insults his/her opponent or the officials of the event, will immediately and finally lose the relevant game.

Regarding a more comprehensive set of behavioural and ethical norms to be followed, FIDE Ethics Commission and the Arbiter’s Council are to elaborate guidelines for the players. The guidelines will be published on the FIDE website.
